(name) has erased the fine line between genius and insanity, and replaced it with a small trout.
I am not sure why, but this really caught my fancy.
I inquired to the poster as to whether having a small trout placed one in the former or latter category, but she denies knowledge regarding that, claiming that small trouts add ambiguity.
Fish usually do, you know.
Blessings on your travels,
Emily.

although given the tendency of some fish to carry high mercury levels, it may lean toward the latter :)
Dear Emily,
I'm searching for the origins of the statement:
"There is a fine line between genius and insanity and I have erased it and replaced it with a small trout."
I believe an individual made the witty leap from a quote by Oscar Levant (1906-1972):
"There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line."
Through my prodigious searching, I have found your web page to be one the earliest if not earliest references. I hope you'll most generous in helping me along my way.
If it not too intrusive to your life, would it be possible for you to give me the name( to search facebook and message there) of your friend that you borrowed the statement from? Or possibly contact them for me?
I am looking for the person with which this statement should be properly attributed.
You may contact me at ifihadaquotewall.blogspot.com or thebluefuzzyguy@gmail.com
Thank you
It was very interesting for me to read this article. Thank author for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon.
